Recruitera's education filter will let you narrow the pipeline by candidates' educational background — filtering by university name, degree, and degree subject using "contains" and "does not contain" logic. This filter is coming soon and will be available in the filter sidebar in Table view.
What the education filter will include
Once released, the Education filter will support the following fields:
University Name — contains / does not contain
Degree — contains / does not contain (e.g. Bachelor, Master, MBA)
Degree Subject — contains / does not contain (e.g. Computer Science, Business Administration)
All matching is case-insensitive.
How it will work
Recruitera will pull education data directly from candidate CVs and profiles. Using "contains" logic means a search for "Cairo" in University Name would match "Cairo University", "American University in Cairo", and any other university with Cairo in its name. The "does not contain" option lets you exclude specific educational backgrounds — for example excluding candidates without a relevant degree subject.
💡 This article will be updated with step-by-step instructions as soon as the Education filter is available. In the meantime, use the Boolean search bar to search for degree names or university names within candidate CVs.

Frequently asked questions
Can I filter candidates by university name in Recruitera?
The dedicated education filter in Recruitera is not yet available — it is currently in development. In the meantime, you can use the Boolean search bar in Table view to search for a university name, degree, or degree subject directly within candidate CVs. Use exact phrase matching with quotes for more precise results, for example searching "Cairo University" to find candidates who attended that specific institution.
How do I find candidates with a specific degree in Recruitera?
Until the Education filter is released, use the search bar in Table view with Boolean operators. Search for "Bachelor" OR "BSc" OR "B.Sc" to find candidates with undergraduate degrees. For more specific searches, combine terms — for example "Computer Science" AND "Master" finds candidates with a Master's degree in Computer Science. The search covers full CV text so any degree mentioned in the CV will be searchable.
