What is an Application Form?

An application form is what candidates fill out when applying to your job. It can include basic fields (like name and email), CV uploads, optional details, and customized screening questions.

Create an Application Form

In Recruitera, you can create an application form in two ways:

  1. On the spot while creating a job (Step 2: Application Form Design).

  2. As a reusable template in Settings > Templates > Application Forms.

Option 1: Create an Application Form On the Spot

  1. Go to Step 2: Application Form Design when creating a job.

  2. Use the default candidate fields provided (Name, Email, Phone, Gender, CV, Photo).

  3. Toggle each field as Required / Optional / Remove.

  4. Add, edit, or remove fields as needed.

  5. Add Screening Questions manually, or click the AI icon to generate suggestions.

  6. Mark questions as Knock-out Questions if you want automatic disqualification.

  7. Save the form — it will be linked to the job post and visible to all applicants.

💡 Best for jobs with unique requirements that don’t repeat often.

Option 2: Create an Application Form Template

  1. Go to Settings > Templates > Application Forms.

  2. Click + Create Template.

  3. Enter a Template Name.

  4. Build the form:

    1. Add candidate information fields.

    2. Add screening questions.

    3. Set required/optional fields.

    4. Include knock-out rules if needed.

  5. Click Save.

Your template will now appear in the job creation flow. When you create a new job, simply select Pick a Template to apply it instantly.

💡 Best for roles you hire for regularly (e.g., Sales Executives, Engineers).

Best Practices

  • Use templates for recurring roles to keep your process consistent.

  • Use on-the-spot forms for unique jobs with special requirements.

  • Keep forms short and relevant to avoid candidate drop-off.

  • Combine with Knock-out Questions to filter unqualified applicants.

✅ That’s it! You can now build application forms directly during job creation or save templates for future use
