Set Up Your Requisition Form

Updated over a month ago

The requisition form is what hiring managers fill out when requesting to open a new position. You can fully customize this form to match your company’s internal hiring process.

To set up the form, go to: Settings → Workflow → Requisition Approval → Requisition Form

Default Fields Included in Every Requisition

Recruitera provides two required fields by default:

  • Job Title

  • Department

  • Job Opening (number of vacancies)

These cannot be removed because they are essential for creating and tracking requisitions.

Add Standard Job Fields

You can extend the form by adding predefined job-related fields.
Click Add Fields, then choose from preset options such as:

  • Location

  • Workplace (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote)

  • Job Description

  • Employment Type

  • Hiring Budget

  • Experience

  • Salary Range

  • Candidate’s Anticipated Start Date
…and other built-in fields available in the dropdown.

Just select the fields you want and click Add.

These fields will appear in every new requisition created.

Create Custom Fields (For Maximum Flexibility)

If the preset fields don’t cover everything you need, you can create custom fields.

Custom fields allow you to collect internal information such as:

  • Project codes

  • Reason for hiring

  • Business justification

  • Budget approval IDs

  • Manager notes

  • Any additional details required by HR or Finance

Supported Custom Field Types

  • Short Answer

  • Long Answer

  • Dropdown

  • Multi Select

  • Number Field

Each custom field can also be marked as Required or Optional.

This gives you full control over the form’s structure and ensures that hiring managers provide all necessary details.

Managing Fields

  • Edit or delete custom fields at any time

Your setup updates instantly for all future requisitions.

Your Requisition Form Is Now Ready

Once the form is configured:

  • Hiring managers will see your customized form when submitting a new request

  • All required information will be enforced
