How to Edit or Delete a Requisition

Updated over a month ago

Depending on your permissions and the status of the request, you may be able to edit or delete a requisition. This is useful when hiring managers need to correct information, update job details, or withdraw a request before approval.

Edit a Requisition

A requisition can only be edited before it is fully approved.
Admins may have additional permissions depending on your configuration.

How to edit a requisition:

  1. Open Requisition from the main menu.

  2. Click the requisition you want to modify.

  3. Select (โ‹ฎ)

  4. Update any fields in the form such as:

    • Job title

    • Department

    • Job opening count

    • Budget or salary fields

    • Custom-required fields

    • Notes or justification

  5. Click Save Changes.

The updated information immediately reflects in the approval timeline.

Note: If the requisition is already in an approval step, some companies restrict edits.

In this case, the request must be returned by an approver for edits.

Delete a Requisition

You may delete a requisition if:

  • You created the requisition and it is still pending

  • You are an admin with delete permissions

  • The requisition has not been converted into a job

How to delete a requisition:

  1. Open Requisition from the sidebar.

  2. Select the requisition you want to remove.

  3. Click the More (โ‹ฎ) icon.

  4. Choose Delete Requisition.

  5. Confirm the deletion.

Once deleted, the requisition is permanently removed from the system and cannot be restored.

What You Cannot Edit or Delete

  • Approved requisitions that have already been converted into a job

  • Requisitions already closed by workflow rules

  • Requisitions locked by company compliance settings

If you need changes in such cases, the job must be updated directly.
