Why You’d Change a Job’s Status

Updating the job status helps you:

  • Control who can see or apply for the job.

  • Keep your jobs list clean and organized.

  • Reflect the real-time progress of your hiring process.

How to Change the Status

You can change a job’s status from two places — the Job List or the Job Page itself.

Option 1: From the Job List

  1. Go to your Jobs List from the dashboard.

  2. Find the job you want to update.

  3. Click the three dots () beside it.

  4. Choose Edit Opportunity → then use the Publish dropdown at the top to change the status.

Option 2: From Inside the Job Page

  1. Open the job you want to update.

  2. Click the Publish dropdown at the top-right corner.

  3. Choose one of the following status options:

The Status Options Explained

  • Use Internally:
Keeps the job visible only to your internal team members. This is useful when you’re hiring internally or handling confidential positions.

  • Confidential:
Hides the job from your public career page but still lets you share it via a direct link. Perfect when you only want selected candidates to see it.

  • Close:
Stops new applications from coming in while keeping your existing candidates visible in the pipeline. Ideal when you’ve filled the role or want to pause hiring.

  • Archive:
Moves the job to your archived section, completely out of the active list. Archived jobs stay saved, so you can always revisit them later for reporting or reference.

💡 Tips

  • You can change the status anytime — it updates instantly.

  • Archived jobs are never deleted; you can restore them later if needed.

  • Closed jobs retain their candidate data and analytics for reporting
