How to Update Your Profile Information in Recruitera

Learn how to update your name, job title, phone number, and profile photo in Recruitera — keep your account information accurate for your hiring team.

Recruitera's user settings let you update your personal profile information at any time — including your name, job title, phone number, and profile photo. Keeping your profile accurate helps your hiring team identify who is behind every action, comment, and evaluation inside the ATS. All users can manage this from My Account → Personal Information.

  • Note: Your email address is read-only and cannot be changed from this page

How to update your profile information in Recruitera

  1. Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Select My Account from the dropdown.

  3. You are on the Personal Information tab by default.

  4. Update any of the following fields:

    • Profile Photo — click the photo area to upload. Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Maximum size: 50 MB

    • Full Name — 2 to 25 characters, letters and spaces only

    • Job Title — 2 to 25 characters

    • Phone Number — 11 to 14 digits, supports international formats

  5. Click Save changes.

How your profile information appears across Recruitera

Recruitera supports team visibility across all hiring activities. Your updated name and profile photo appear in candidate timelines, evaluation forms, interview schedules, comments on candidate profiles, and job assignment lists. This is especially important in large hiring teams where multiple recruiters and hiring managers work on the same jobs.

Field validation and error handling

In the Settings module, Recruitera validates each field before saving to protect data quality:

  • Full Name — minimum 2 characters, maximum 25. Letters, spaces, and symbols (/ | -) only. Cannot be left empty.

  • Job Title — minimum 2 characters, maximum 25. Same character rules apply.

  • Phone Number — minimum 11 digits, maximum 14. Must be numeric. Cannot be left empty.

  • Profile Photo — unsupported file formats and files over 50 MB will be rejected with an error message in the top-right corner.

💡 The Save button stays grayed out until you make a change. If you navigate away without saving, a notification will appear: "Your changes haven't been saved" and your edits will be discarded.

Can I change my email address in Recruitera?

Your email address in Recruitera is read-only and displays a Verified badge — it cannot be changed from the My Account page. To update your account email, contact your Admin or reach out to Recruitera support using the chat widget in the help center.

What happens if I leave My Account without saving?

If you navigate away from the Personal Information tab in Recruitera without clicking Save, your changes will not be applied. A red notification will appear in the top-right corner saying "Your changes haven't been saved." Return to the tab and re-enter your edits to save them properly.
