How to Add Job Titles in Recruitera Settings

Learn how to add job titles in Recruitera's company settings — build a standardized title library that keeps job naming consistent across all your posts and reports.

Recruitera's job title settings let Admins create a standardized library of titles that appears as suggestions when your team posts new jobs. This keeps job naming consistent across your organization and makes filtering, reporting, and searching by role far more reliable. This is an Admin-only action in Recruitera.

Before you start

  • Required role: Admin only

  • Where to find it: Settings → Company → Organization → Job Titles

How to add a job title in Recruitera

  1. Go to Settings → Company → Organization.

  2. Click the Job Titles tab.

  3. Click + Add Job Title.

  4. Enter the title name (e.g. "Senior Software Engineer", "HR Business Partner").

  5. Click Save.

The title appears immediately in the list and becomes available as a suggestion during job creation.

💡 Use the search bar to check if a title already exists before adding a new one — duplicate titles make the list harder to manage and can cause inconsistencies in reports.

How job titles work across Recruitera

Recruitera supports job title suggestions during job creation to help your team use consistent naming. When a recruiter creates a new job, the titles configured here appear as suggested options. This prevents variations like "Software Dev," "Software Developer," and "SW Engineer" all being used for the same role — which would fragment your reporting and make candidate searching less effective.

Frequently asked questions

How do I standardize job titles in Recruitera?

To standardize job titles in Recruitera, go to Settings → Company → Organization → Job Titles and add all the approved titles your organization uses. Once added, these titles appear as suggestions when recruiters create new jobs — encouraging consistent naming across all job posts. Only Admin users can add, edit, or delete titles from this library.

Do job titles in Recruitera settings affect existing job posts?

Adding a new job title to Recruitera's settings makes it available as a suggestion for future job creation. It does not retroactively update the titles of jobs that were already created. If you need to correct a title on an existing job, edit that job directly. The titles library in Settings only affects new job posts going forward.

Can I add job titles in bulk in Recruitera?

Recruitera supports adding job titles one at a time from the Job Titles tab in Settings → Company → Organization. Each title is added individually with a name and saved. For organizations that need to add a large number of titles at once, contact your Recruitera Customer Success Manager for guidance. Once titles are added, they are immediately available across all job creation flows.
