How to Create a Benefits Template in Recruitera

Learn how to create benefits templates in Recruitera — build reusable offer benefit packages so your team presents complete, consistent compensation packages to candidates.

Recruitera's Benefits Templates let Admins create structured offer benefit packages that can be attached to job offers — making it easy to present a complete compensation picture to candidates beyond just salary. Benefits templates help standardize what you offer across roles and ensure nothing gets left out when extending an offer. This is an Admin-only action in Recruitera.

Before you start

  • Required role: Admin only

  • Where to find it: Settings → Templates → Benefits Templates

How to create a benefits template in Recruitera

  1. Go to Settings → Templates → Benefits Templates.

  2. Click + New Benefits Template.

  3. Enter a Template Name (e.g. "Standard Package", "Executive Benefits", "Tech Team Offer").

  4. Add individual benefits by clicking + Add Benefit:

    • Enter the benefit name (e.g. "Medical Insurance", "Annual Bonus", "Transportation Allowance", "Remote Work Days")

    • Add a description or value if needed

  5. Repeat for all benefits in the package.

  6. Click Save Template.

The template is immediately available for use when preparing a job offer for a candidate.

💡 Recruitera allows you to create multiple benefits templates — one for each role level, department, or location. This way, executive offers include different benefits from entry-level offers without manual editing each time.

How benefits templates are used in Recruitera

Benefits templates appear as an option when you prepare an offer for a candidate from their profile. Selecting a template pre-fills the benefits section of the offer automatically — saving time and ensuring consistency. You can still edit individual benefits before sending the offer to the candidate if the role requires adjustments to the standard package.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add standard benefits to job offers in Recruitera?

To add standard benefits to job offers in Recruitera, first create a benefits template in Settings → Templates → Benefits Templates. Add all the benefits in your standard package — medical insurance, annual bonus, transportation allowance, and so on. When preparing a candidate offer, select the template and Recruitera pre-fills the benefits section automatically. You can customize individual items before sending the offer if needed for a specific role or candidate.

Can I create different benefits packages for different roles in Recruitera?

Recruitera supports creating multiple benefits templates — one for each role level, department, or location your organization uses. For example, you can have a Standard Package for individual contributors and a separate Executive Package for senior leadership roles. When preparing an offer, recruiters select the appropriate template for the role rather than building benefits from scratch each time, ensuring offers are consistent and complete.

Can I edit a benefits template after it has been used in an offer in Recruitera?

Recruitera allows you to edit benefits templates at any time from Settings → Templates → Benefits Templates. Editing a template updates it going forward — offers already sent to candidates using the previous version retain the benefits that were included at the time of sending. The edit only affects new offers prepared after the change. If you need to update a specific offer already sent, edit that offer directly from the candidate's profile.
