The Disqualify reason filter breaks down disqualified candidates by why they were removed — so you can audit decisions and spot patterns in where candidates fall out. Available to anyone who can view the job.
Before you start
Available to: anyone who can view the job (Admins, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers)
Where to find it: open a job's pipeline → Filters tab → + Add filter → Disqualify reason
How to filter by disqualification reason
On the Filters tab, click + Add filter and choose Disqualify reason.
Select one or more reasons. Choosing several shows candidates matching any of them.
💡 To look only at disqualified candidates, also set Candidate status = Disqualified.
Where the reasons come from
The list of reasons is your company's, managed in Settings → Workflow → Disqualify Reasons. Add or edit one there if the reason you want isn't listed. A knockout screening question can also disqualify candidates automatically with a set reason.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the list empty on some jobs?
If no candidates on the job have been disqualified, there are no reasons to filter by yet. The options fill in as candidates are disqualified.
Can I add a new disqualification reason?
Yes — in Settings → Workflow → Disqualify Reasons. New reasons then become available across your jobs.
