Recruitera's disqualification filter lets you surface candidates who were removed from the pipeline — filtering by whether they were knocked out automatically or disqualified manually, and by the specific disqualification reason. This is useful for auditing decisions, reviewing borderline cases, or reporting on why candidates are leaving your pipeline.
Before you start
Available to: Admins, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers
Where to find it: Pipeline tab → Table view → Filter sidebar → Status = Disqualified, then Disqualification filters
Note: Disqualified candidates are hidden from the default pipeline view. Apply Status = Disqualified first to make them visible, then use disqualification filters to narrow further.
How to filter by disqualification type
Open the filter sidebar in Table view.
Select Status = Disqualified to show disqualified candidates.
Expand the Disqualification Type section.
Select:
Knockout — candidates automatically disqualified by a knockout question answer that did not meet the threshold
Manual — candidates manually disqualified by a recruiter during the review process
How to filter by disqualification reason
Expand the Disqualification Reason section in the filter sidebar.
Select one or more reasons from the list — the dropdown shows all reasons configured in Settings → Workflow → Disqualify Reasons.
Multi-select is supported — selecting multiple reasons shows candidates who were disqualified for any of the selected reasons.
💡 Combining Disqualification Type = Knockout with a specific reason helps you understand how your knockout questions are performing — and whether the right candidates are being automatically screened out.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Knockout and Manual disqualification in Recruitera?
In Recruitera, Knockout disqualification happens automatically when a candidate answers a knockout question in a way that does not meet the threshold set during job creation — they are removed from the active pipeline instantly without recruiter intervention. Manual disqualification is when a recruiter explicitly moves a candidate out of the pipeline and selects a disqualification reason. Both types are filterable separately so you can audit each independently.
How do I see all disqualified candidates in Recruitera?
To see all disqualified candidates in Recruitera, open the filter sidebar in Table view and select Status = Disqualified. Disqualified candidates are not shown in the default pipeline view — applying this status filter makes them visible. You can then further narrow by Disqualification Type (Knockout or Manual) or by a specific Disqualification Reason to audit decisions.
Can I filter by multiple disqualification reasons at once in Recruitera?
Recruitera's Disqualification Reason filter supports multi-select. You can select several reasons simultaneously — for example "Salary Mismatch" and "Overqualified" — and the table will show candidates who were disqualified for any of those reasons. This is useful when running an audit or report on a specific group of disqualification patterns across the pipeline.
