How to Set Up Your Job Details in Recruitera

Learn how to fill in a job's details in Recruitera — title, description with AI, employment details, salary, benefits, and internal settings.

The Job details tab holds the core information about a job — what it is, where it is, and what it pays. It's the first tab of the job editor. Editing a job needs the manage-jobs permission.

Before you start

  • Required role: a role with the Manage jobs permission

  • Where to find it: Jobs → Edit a job → Job details

What's on the tab

  • Connected Requisition — turn this on to auto-fill the job's details from an assigned requisition (if requisitions are enabled on your plan).

  • Basic info — job title, job type (chosen when the job was created), department, location, and tags. Use Manage fields to control which fields appear.

  • Internal use — the number of available positions and priority. Not shown on the public job post.

  • Custom fields — extra fields such as hiring budget code, travel required, shift pattern, and limiting the number of openings.

  • About the role — description, requirements, responsibilities, benefits, keywords, and work model. Write these yourself or use AI generation to draft them, then edit.

  • Employment details — employment type, category, required education, and required experience.

  • Salary — the min/max range, period, and currency, plus Show the salary range publicly.

  • Feature Job — pin the job to the top of your career site (see How to Feature a Job).

💡 Changes on this tab save on the tab itself — you can move to other tabs and come back. Candidate scoring weights aren't here; they live on the Workflow tab under Screening and matching candidates.

Frequently asked questions

Can Recruitera write the job description for me?

Yes — use the AI generation option in the About the role section to draft the description, requirements, and responsibilities, then edit them to fit the role.

Where do I set how candidates are scored?

On the Workflow tab, under Screening and matching candidates — that's where you set the AI scoring weights (Skills, Keywords, and more), not on Job details. See How to Set Up Screening and Matching Candidates.
