How to Set Up a Job's Application Form in Recruitera

Learn how to set up a job's application form in Recruitera — the candidate fields you collect, how applications can arrive, and the confirmation email.

The Application tab controls what a candidate is asked when they apply, how applications can reach you, and the email they get after applying. Editing a job needs the manage-jobs permission.

The Application tab

Before you start

  • Required role: a role with the Manage jobs permission

  • Where to find it: Jobs → Edit a job → Application

Candidate information fields

Choose which details to collect and how strictly. For each field, set it to Required, Optional, or Remove it. The available fields depend on the job's collar type (white- or blue-collar), so you only see fields that fit the role.

How applications can arrive

Under application preferences, choose how candidates can apply — for example through your career site, and whether to allow employee referrals or WhatsApp. These decide the ways a candidate can enter this job's pipeline.

Confirmation email

Set the auto-confirmation email a candidate receives after they apply, so every applicant gets an immediate acknowledgement.

Screening questions

The Screening Questions a candidate answers are set in this same tab but saved separately — see How to Set Up Screening Questions in Recruitera.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I see different fields on different jobs?

The candidate field set is tailored to the job's collar type, so a white-collar and a blue-collar job offer different default fields.
