Add and Manage Your Blacklist in Recruitera

Keeping your hiring pipeline clean and compliant just got easier.

Updated over a month ago

With Recruitera’s Blacklist feature, you can instantly disqualify specific candidates based on their email, phone number, or national ID — before they even enter your workflow.

Where to Find It

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Click on Company from the from the left sidebar.

  3. Click Organization.

  4. Open the Blacklist tab.

  5. Choose Add Manually or Import Blacklist

Add Blacklisted Candidates

You have two ways to build your blacklist in Recruitera:

Option 1: Add Manually

  1. Click + Add Candidate.

  2. Enter the candidate’s name, email, phone number, or national ID.

  3. Click Save — the entry is added instantly to your blacklist.

💡 Use this for one-off additions or urgent cases.

Option 2: Import a Blacklist Sheet

  1. Click Download Template to get the standard sheet format.

  2. Fill in the sheet with the details of all candidates you want to blacklist (email, phone, or ID).

  3. Save the file and click Upload File to import it back into Recruitera.

Once uploaded, Recruitera automatically updates the blacklist and enforces it across all job postings.

How It Works

  • When a candidate with matching information applies to any of your jobs — whether through your career page, referral, or manual import — Recruitera detects it instantly.

  • The system automatically disqualifies them before they reach your job pipeline.

  • You’ll still be able to view them under Disqualified Candidates, with a clear “Blacklisted” tag for transparency.

Why It Matters

  • Ensures compliance with internal hiring policies.

  • Prevents reapplications from banned or previously flagged candidates.

  • Saves recruiters’ time by automating manual checks.
