Recruitera's blacklist setting lets Admins and Recruiters permanently block specific candidates from applying to any of your company's jobs. When you disqualify a candidate, Recruitera gives you the option to blacklist them at the same moment — so they are blocked automatically before they can re-enter your pipeline through any channel.

What happens after blacklisting a candidate
Recruitera automatically takes the following actions when a candidate is blacklisted during disqualification:
The candidate is disqualified from the current job with the selected reason saved.
They are added to your company Blacklist in Settings → Company → Organization → Blacklist.
The Blacklist Source is recorded as the job name where they were blacklisted.
If the candidate tries to apply to any of your future jobs — through your career page, referral, or manual import — Recruitera automatically blocks the application before they enter the pipeline.
They remain visible under Disqualified Candidates with a clear "Blacklisted" tag for full transparency.
💡 Blacklisting is permanent until an Admin manually removes the candidate from the Blacklist in Settings → Company → Organization → Blacklist.
Frequently asked questions
How do I block a candidate from applying to future jobs in Recruitera?
To block a candidate from applying to future jobs in Recruitera, disqualify them from a job and check the "Blacklist this candidate" box in the disqualification modal. Once confirmed, the candidate is permanently blocked from all future applications to your company — through your career page, referrals, and manual imports. Their name, email, phone, and blacklist source are recorded in your company Blacklist in Settings.
Can a blacklisted candidate still apply to our jobs in Recruitera?
Recruitera automatically detects and blocks applications from blacklisted candidates. If a blacklisted candidate tries to apply through your career page, is referred by someone, or is imported manually, the system recognizes their details — email, phone, or national ID — and blocks the application before they enter your pipeline. You will not need to manually check for blacklisted applicants.
Where can I see all blacklisted candidates in Recruitera?
To view all blacklisted candidates in Recruitera, go to Settings → Company → Organization → Blacklist. The table shows each candidate's name, email, phone number, national ID, and the Blacklist Source — either the job name where they were blacklisted or "Added Manually" if they were added directly to the list. You can search, sort, and paginate the list from this page.
