Disqualify or requalify a Candidate

Updated over a week ago

You can disqualify a candidate at any stage if they no longer meet the requirements for the role. If the decision changes, you can easily requalify them and return them to the hiring pipeline.

Disqualify a Candidate

You can disqualify a candidate from the Candidate Profile or directly from the Job Pipeline.

From the Candidate Profile

  1. Open the Candidate Profile.

  2. Go to the Current Process section from the right side.

  3. Click Mark as Disqualify.

  4. Select a Disqualification Reason from the list (optional).

  5. Click Confirm.

From the Job Pipeline

  1. Open the job’s Workflow/Pipeline.

  2. Hover over the candidate card.

  3. Click the Disqualify icon, or open the card and choose Disqualify.

  4. Confirm the action.

Tip: Reasons help maintain consistent reporting and improve analytics.

What Happens After Disqualification

  • The candidate moves to the Not Qualified tab.

  • They no longer appear in the active stages of the pipeline.

Requalify a Candidate

If you want to bring the candidate back into the hiring flow:

  1. Open the Candidate Profile.

  2. Click Requalify (this button appears only for disqualified candidates).

  3. Click Confirm.

Requalifying restores them to active consideration without losing previous data.

What Happens After Requalification

  • The candidate returns to the stage in the job pipeline.

  • All previous information, files, and evaluations remain unchanged.

  • The action is logged in the Activity Timeline.

Why This Is Useful

  • Helps maintain clean and accurate pipelines

  • Ensures transparency of decisions

  • Allows corrections if a candidate was disqualified by mistake

  • Supports fair reconsideration when a candidate becomes relevant again
