What Is a Candidate Assignment Tag?
When Smart Candidate Distribution assigns a candidate to a recruiter, a tag appears on that candidate's card in the Kanban view. The tag shows the assigned recruiter's name and is visible to every member of the team who has access to the job.
This means at a glance — without opening a candidate profile — your entire team knows who owns which candidate.
What the Tag Shows
Recruiter name — the full name of the assigned recruiter as it appears in their profile.
Visible to all team members on the job — not just the assigned recruiter.
Why Assignment Tags Matter
Before Smart Distribution, multiple recruiters on the same job could unknowingly work on the same candidate — reviewing their profile, sending messages, or moving them through the pipeline independently. This creates duplicate effort and makes KPI tracking unreliable.
The assignment tag solves this in two ways:
Transparency: everyone on the team can see who is responsible for each candidate without asking.
Accountability: the Hires report Recruiter Performance table reflects accurate data because every hire is tied to the recruiter it was assigned to.
💡 Tip: If you're reviewing the Kanban and see a candidate without an assignment tag, it means Smart Distribution was not enabled when they applied — or they were added manually after distribution was configured. You can assign them manually from the candidate profile.
Assignment Tags and the Reports Module
Assignment tags feed directly into the Hires report. Every metric in the Recruiter Performance table — Total Hires, Avg TTH, Offer Accepted % — is calculated based on the candidates assigned to each recruiter via Smart Distribution.
📌 Note: If Smart Distribution is not enabled on a job, recruiter performance data for that job may be incomplete or inaccurate in the Hires report. Enable distribution on all active jobs for the most reliable reporting data.
