Frequently asked questions
What happens to job posts when I delete a job tag in Recruitera?
When you delete a job tag in Recruitera, it is permanently removed from the tag library and automatically removed from all job posts it was applied to. The jobs themselves are not affected — they remain published and active — but they will no longer display the deleted tag. If recruiters were filtering by that tag in the Jobs list, those results will now return empty. Review active jobs before deleting widely used tags.
Can I rename a job tag in Recruitera without re-tagging existing jobs?
Recruitera allows you to rename job tags at any time from Settings → Workflow → Job Tags. When you rename a tag, the new name applies immediately to all job posts that already have the tag — no manual re-tagging required. Renaming is always preferable to deleting and recreating a tag when you want to preserve the tag's associations with existing jobs.
How do I remove duplicate job tags in Recruitera?
To remove duplicate job tags in Recruitera, go to Settings → Workflow → Job Tags and use the search bar to find similar variations. Identify which version is most consistently used, rename any variations to match the preferred format if needed, and delete the duplicates using the Actions menu (⋯) → Delete. Cleaning up duplicates keeps the job tag picker fast and easy to use when recruiters are creating new jobs.
