Frequently asked questions

What happens to candidates when I delete a tag in Recruitera?

When you delete a candidate tag in Recruitera, it is permanently removed from the tag library and automatically removed from every candidate it was applied to. There is no way to undo a tag deletion, and no notification is sent to recruiters. Before deleting a tag, consider whether any active candidates are using it — you may want to replace it with a new tag first before removing the old one.

Can I rename a candidate tag in Recruitera without affecting candidates?

Recruitera allows you to rename candidate tags at any time from Settings → Workflow → Candidate Tags. When you rename a tag, the new name applies immediately to all candidates that already have the tag applied — your team will see the updated name everywhere without needing to re-tag anyone. Renaming is always safer than deleting if you want to preserve the tag's associations.

How do I clean up unused tags in Recruitera?

To clean up unused tags in Recruitera, go to Settings → Workflow → Candidate Tags and review the list. Use the search bar to look for tags that seem outdated or duplicated.
