Recruitera's public links management lets Admins and Recruiters deactivate or delete public links that are no longer active — for example when a job closes, a campaign ends, or a link was created by mistake. Deactivating a link stops candidates from applying through it without deleting the link's performance data. This is available to Admins and Recruiters in Recruitera.
Before you start
Available to: Admins and Recruiters
Where to find it: Settings → Workflow → Public Links
How to deactivate a public link in Recruitera
Go to Settings → Workflow → Public Links.
Find the link using the search bar or scroll the list.
Click the Actions menu (⋯) next to the link.
Select Deactivate.
Confirm in the modal that appears.
Once deactivated, the link's URL stops working immediately — candidates who click it will see an error or be redirected. The link remains in your Public Links list with a Deactivated status, and all historical data (visits, applications) is preserved.
How to delete a public link in Recruitera
Find the link in the Public Links list.
Click the Actions menu (⋯) → select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
💡 Deleting a public link permanently removes it and all its tracking data. If you only want to stop new applications while keeping visit and application counts for reporting, use Deactivate instead of Delete.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between deactivating and deleting a public link in Recruitera?
Deactivating a public link in Recruitera stops the link from accepting new applications while preserving the link record and all its historical data — visit counts, application counts, and source attribution. Deleting a public link permanently removes the link and all its tracking data from Recruitera. Use Deactivate when a campaign has ended but you still need the data. Use Delete only when the link was created by mistake and has no useful data.
Can I reactivate a deactivated public link in Recruitera?
Recruitera allows you to reactivate a deactivated public link from the Public Links list. Find the deactivated link, click the Actions menu (⋯), and select Activate. The link becomes active immediately and can receive new applications again. All previous visit and application data is retained. This is useful for seasonal hiring campaigns where the same link is reused across multiple rounds.
What happens to candidates who already applied through a deleted public link in Recruitera?
When you delete a public link in Recruitera, candidates who already applied through that link are not affected — their applications remain in the pipeline and their source attribution is preserved in their profile records. Only the public link entry itself and its aggregated visit/application tracking data are removed. Existing candidate records created through that link continue to exist normally in your account.
