Which jobs appear on WhatsApp Hiring?
WhatsApp Hiring does not automatically apply to all your jobs. You control which roles candidates can apply to via WhatsApp on a per-job basis.
To enable WhatsApp Hiring for a specific job:
Open the job — either when creating a new one or editing an existing one
Go to the Application Form step
Find the Apply via WhatsApp toggle and turn it on
Once enabled, that job will be visible and accessible to candidates through your company's WhatsApp channel. Jobs with the toggle turned off will not appear in the WhatsApp hiring flow — candidates who message in will not be routed to those roles.
Tip: This gives you full flexibility to use WhatsApp for high-volume or blue collar roles while keeping other roles on traditional application channels.
How the WhatsApp bot works
When a candidate messages your company's WhatsApp number, the bot takes over automatically. It handles the initial interaction — sending a reply, collecting basic information, asking screening questions, and confirming the application — without any recruiter intervention needed.
The bot uses your approved WhatsApp templates to communicate. This means every message it sends has already been reviewed and approved by META.
What the bot handles automatically
Sending an initial reply when a candidate messages in
Confirming receipt of an application
Asking pre-screening questions based on the job
Sending status updates as the candidate moves through the pipeline
Sending interview invitations and confirmations
Notifying candidates of offers or rejections
The 24-hour service window
When a candidate sends the first message, a 24-hour service window opens. During this window, all replies — including automated bot responses and free-form messages from recruiters — are free of charge.
Once the 24-hour window closes, any outbound message must use an approved template and will be charged according to META's messaging rates.
Bot language settings
The bot communicates in the language set for each WhatsApp number. If you have two numbers — one for blue collar (Arabic) and one for white collar (English) — each bot will operate in its configured language independently.
Monitoring bot conversations
All conversations handled by the bot are visible inside Recruitera, logged against the relevant candidate record. You can review the full conversation history at any time from the candidate's profile.
