Navigating to the Disqualification Report

1. Go to Reports in the left navigation.

2. Click Disqualification in the left sidebar.

Reading the Scorecards

Disqualified Candidates — Total number of candidates marked as disqualified within the selected period.

Disqualification Rate % — Percentage of all candidates in the pipeline who were disqualified.

Automatically Disqualified — Candidates disqualified by automated screening rules, not by a recruiter manually.

💡 Tip: A high Automatically Disqualified count relative to total disqualifications means your screening rules are doing the heavy lifting. Review them periodically to make sure they're still aligned with your actual requirements.

Reading the Disqualification Breakdown by Stage Type

The stage breakdown table shows exactly where in your pipeline candidates are being rejected — and why.

Stage Type — The hiring stage where the disqualification happened.

Total Reached — The total number of candidates who reached this stage.

Reasons — The disqualification reasons logged by your team for candidates rejected at this stage.

Candidates — The number of candidates disqualified at this stage.

Drop-off Rate — The percentage of candidates who reached this stage and were disqualified.

Avg Time (Days) — Average number of days candidates spent in this stage before being disqualified.

📌 Note: If the Reasons column shows a dash (—) for a stage, it means disqualifications at that stage did not have a reason logged. Encourage your team to always log a reason when disqualifying — this data makes the report significantly more useful over time.

Reading the Disqualified by Source Chart

The donut chart shows which sourcing channels are generating the most disqualified candidates. This helps you evaluate source quality — not just source volume.

• A channel with a high share of disqualified candidates is producing low-quality applications relative to its volume.

• Compare this against the Candidates report (Article 5) to see the hire rate per source alongside the disqualification rate.

Reading the Disqualification Reasons Chart

The bar chart at the bottom of the report ranks your most frequently used disqualification reasons. It highlights recurring screening issues that may point to a mismatch between your sourcing channels and your actual job requirements.

💡 Tip: If one reason dominates the chart (e.g. Poor Skills), that's a signal to review your job description and screening questions — not just your sourcing. The problem may be upstream.
